1. Danrlei de Deus Hinterholz
Danrlei arrived at Grêmio in 1993 and quickly became one of the club’s greatest idols. He was known for his determination and leadership on the pitch.
His decisive role in winning important titles also made him one of the best goalkeepers in Grêmio’s history.
He was decisive in the 1995 Libertadores final, especially in the two final games against Atlético Nacional.
In the first match, in Porto Alegre, Grêmio won 3-1, but they needed a draw away from home to be crowned champions, winning the title in a thrilling match that ended in a 1-1 draw. The club won the title with just two defeats in the entire championship.
