The champions of Liga Portugal have the honor of lifting the trophy of the country’s main soccer tournament, a competition that has provided memorable moments over the decades.

Founded in 1934, the Portuguese League brings together teams from all over the country and offers exciting matches, but only 5 teams have managed to win the competition in over 90 years of the tournament: Benfica, Porto, Sporting, Belenenses and Boavista, with the latter two winning just one edition each.

As a result, the competition has a shortlist of Liga Portugal champions, known as “The Big Three”.
